Athletics For Kids

We grant up to $450 per child per year, supporting kids ages 5 to 18 years old.  This funding can be distributed through multiples grants in the year to cover 40+ sports across the province.  We provide a grant of $150 (or 80% of the registration fees) for 3 months of skating classes at a time.

Athletics 4 Kids’ philosophy is to introduce sports to children from age 5 onwards and help keep them active in sports all year-round so that they can develop the skills and confidence to foster positive social relations and build better communities in BC.  With the global pandemic, it’s especially important now to get kids active in sports to help their self-esteem, confidence and overall mental well-being.

Families can access our online application portal at www.a4k.ca/apply_now where they will also find more information about our application process.  It includes information about the eligibility criteria and required documents to be considered for a grant by A4K.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

100% of the funds donated to your local Jumpstart chapter stay in your community, giving kids aged 4-18 equal access to sports and physical activity.

Learn how sports and physical activity help kids belong to their communities and feel a part of something bigger.

Whether it's another season of hockey or another hour at the playground, our programs and initiatives help all kids of all abilities have a chance to play.
